What is included

FCL or LCL?

Choose by volume. Below about 14 cubic meters, a shared box (LCL) usually costs less. Above that, a full box (FCL) is often cheaper and faster. We price both, so you can compare.

Five steps
from dock to door

Every ocean booking follows the same five steps. Your coordinator handles each one and emails you when the next one starts.

01

Booking

Send your cargo details. We confirm the price, the ship and the cutoff date.

02

Pickup

Our truck collects your cargo, or we drop an empty box at your dock.

03

Export customs

We file the export papers and issue the bill of lading on time.

04

Sailing

Your box sails direct or through a hub port. We tell you if a date changes.

05

Delivery

We clear import customs and deliver to your door, with proof.

Shanghai to Chicago usually takes 24–30 days by ocean and rail.

Ocean freight
questions

Short answers about boxes, dates and fees. For anything else, call the freight desk.

When should I choose FCL over LCL?

Choose FCL when your cargo is above about 14 cubic meters, or when it must stay sealed from door to door. Below that, LCL usually costs less. We can price both for you.

It is the last day your loaded box can reach the port for its ship. It is usually 3 to 5 days before sailing. Your booking email shows the exact date and time.

Ports and carriers charge these fees when a box stays too long at the port (demurrage) or outside it (detention). We plan pickup and return dates to avoid them, and we warn you early if a delay could cause a fee.

Your coordinator calls you with the new date and moves the truck booking at the destination, so you do not pay for a missed pickup.
